The Open Call List #101
Calls for Entry: February 2 - February 8, 2026
Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #101!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
Last Thursday, I published the first paid bonus guide of 2026: The Big List of Photobook Publishers. The list contains over 200 photobook publishers across the world, with information on how to submit projects for consideration for publication.
A reminder as well that paid subscribers have access to a collection of similar additional material, including A Directory of Galleries and Museums that Accept Submissions and A Directory of Publications that Accept Photography Submissions.
See the information below on how to become a paid subscriber to access all of these articles and more.

This week’s Open Call List below contains 28 calls for entry, 14 of which offer free submission. The list includes exhibition opportunities across the U.S. and Europe, as well as online. (It contains a particularly large amount of exhibition opportunities at photography festivals, which often draw increased audience sizes.) Additionally, the list includes a wide range of publishing opportunities, including collective photobooks, print magazines, multiple fully-funded book publishing awards, and more. Finally the list includes many grants, residencies, and awards to support photographic projects, as well as a call for new member applications in a New York City-based darkroom.
The Jobs section contains new jobs and internships in the photo arts industry, including multiple new gallery positions and a new role with a photography museum in the U.S., among other listings.
