Welcome to The Open Call List #118!

In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.

This week’s Open Call List below contains 38 calls for entry, 21 of which offer free submission. The list includes 16 opportunities for exhibition across the U.S., U.K., E.U., and Asia, as well as via multiple online platforms. It also includes several major grants (ranging between $10,000 - €25,000) that require no submission fee, as well as a handful of additional prizes, awards, and monetary support for photographic projects. The list contains 8 distinct opportunities for publication in both print and digital media. It also includes opportunities for fully-funded residencies, free portfolio reviews, multiple acquisitions awards, and more.

The Jobs section contains new jobs and internships in the photo arts industry, including in the U.S. and U.K, as well as hybrid and remote positions. It includes roles with galleries and museums, as well as in higher education.
