The Open Call List #123
Calls for Entry: July 6 - July 12, 2026
Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #123!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
I’m excited to share that later this week I publish a list of opportunities for landscape and environmental photographers. The list will include annual and recurring grants, awards, publications, and exhibition opportunities for photographers whose work focuses on land, the environment, and the natural world.
When the list is published later this week, free subscribers will receive a preview, and paid subscribers will have access to the entire list. Like other recent bonus articles, I will continue to expand the list with new opportunities as I find them.
If you are not already a paid subscriber, to access the list in full when it is published later this week, see the section below on subscription pricing.
Paid subscribers also have access to additional articles that support career growth in the photo arts industry. Recently published articles include:
Annual Open Calls for Photography with Acquisition/Purchase Awards
A Directory of Galleries and Museums that Accept Photography Submissions
And more!

The list includes many internationally-open exhibition opportunities, including online exhibitions, a photobook exhibition, a call for small works, a call for alternative processes, as well as exhibitions that include significant cash prizes. The list also includes a wide range of financial support for photographic projects, with many grants and fellowships providing several thousand dollars. Finally, the list includes several publication opportunities, awards, a commission opportunity worth $10,000, a photobook publication award, an opportunity for writing about photography, and more.
The Jobs section contains new jobs and internships in the photo arts industry. This week’s list includes a new hybrid role, positions with galleries, museums, and photobook publishers, as well as several new roles related to photography in higher education.
