The Open Call List #124
Calls for Entry: July 13 - July 19, 2026
Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #124!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
Last Friday, I published a bonus list of Opportunities for Landscape and Environmental Photographers. The article includes over 25 recurring calls for grants, fellowships, cash awards, publications, and exhibitions for photographers whose work depicts land and/or the environment. Paid subscribers have access to the list in full, and free subscribers are able to preview a portion of it.
If you are not already a paid subscriber and would like to access the list in its entirety, see the section below on how to become a paid subscriber.

Paid subscribers also receive access to additional articles that support career growth in the photo arts industry. Recently published articles include:
Annual Open Calls for Photography with Acquisition/Purchase Awards
A Directory of Galleries and Museums that Accept Photography Submissions

Finally, this week’s Open Call List below contains 32 calls for entry, 15 of which offer free submission. The list contains a wide range of exhibition opportunities, including several that offer cash awards or additional funding. It also includes one $10,000 commission opportunity, as well as several fellowships, grants, and other funding opportunities. The list includes many opportunities for publication, both digitally and in print, as well as multiple awards for which the winner receives a fully-funded photobook produced of their work. Finally, this week’s includes multiple exhibition calls from major photography festivals.
The Jobs section contains new jobs and internships in the photo arts industry, including roles with publishers, galleries, photo magazines, museums, in higher education, and more.
