Welcome to The Open Call List #127!

In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.

Opening Remarks:
In addition to receiving the full list below, paid subscribers have access to additional articles meant to support career growth in the photo arts industry. This week, I added one new publication to the Directory of Publications that Accept Photography Submissions, as well as one new major ($40,000) award to both the List of Opportunities for Landscape and Environmental Photographers and the Annual Open Calls for Photography with Acquisition/Purchase Awards. This week’s Open Call List below contains 35 calls for entry, 18 of which offer free submission. This list includes four funded photography residencies. It contains twelve opportunities for publication, including in group magazines and zines, group photobooks, and one call from a publisher for solo photobook projects. The list also includes twelve opportunities for exhibition, including online exhibitions, in-person group exhibitions at galleries and museums, as well as solo exhibition opportunities. Finally, the list includes a range of additional funding and support, including mentorship programs, and monetary bursaries and awards ranging up to $40,000.

The Jobs section contains new jobs and internships in the photo arts industry, including new roles with photobook publishers, non-profit arts organizations, museums, galleries, and more. The list also includes new internships, as well as new hybrid roles.
