Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #17!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
With the end of June and beginning of July looming - i.e. with the turn of the month ahead - this week’s list is especially long. Below are over 20 calls for entry, including several free-to-enter opportunities, as well as many opportunities aimed at, or accessible to, photographers across the globe.
Also, a reminder that last week The Open Call List announced a grant of its own: The Critical Focus Grant! The free-to-enter call is open to student photographers and recent graduates in the state of Arizona, and was made possible by the support of a generous reader and donor. As always, thank you, readers, for your support of the newsletter.
Please read this note about newsletter pricing:
I make The Open Call List available for free in the spirit of maximizing accessibility in the photo world. That said, I am a one-person team and a fellow artist. If you find the list helpful and you have the means, I ask that you opt in to a pay-what-you-can subscription. Use the links below to access the sliding scale prices:

$2/month (or $20/year)

At any amount, paid subscriptions support the time and energy I spend finding, vetting, and sharing open calls every week. Thank you!
