The Open Call List #29
Calls for Entry: September 16 - September 22, 2024
Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #29!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
Thanks to everyone who tuned into last Wednesday’s virtual talk for the Colorado Photographic Arts Center about finding and evaluating open call opportunities. It was a fun evening and a wonderful turnout. I look forward to putting on similar events in the future!
This week’s Open Call List contains 19 call for entry opportunities, six of which are free to enter. In addition to fellowships, residencies, and exhibitions, the list contains two opportunities specifically for students, as well as several internationally open calls offering exhibition opportunities that coincide with photography festivals.
Please read this note about newsletter pricing:
I make The Open Call List available for free in the spirit of maximizing accessibility in the photo world. That said, I am a one-person team and a fellow artist. If you find the list helpful and you have the means, I ask that you opt in to a pay-what-you-can subscription. Use the links below to access the sliding scale prices:
