Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #32!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
This week’s Open Call List contains 18 open calls, including opportunities for exhibition at photography festivals in three different countries; two fully-funded residency applications with no submission free (one of which is regionally restricted); two photobook awards; a group journal publication opportunity; several large grants; a portfolio review equity scholarship; and more.
This past week, The Open Call List also introduced its first benefit for paid subscribers: monthly, ad-free guides. In contrast with The Open Call List’s weekly, time-sensitive content, these new guides are evergreen and focus on recurring open calls by category. They help readers like yourself prepare for the open calls that will best serve your practice, your ongoing projects, and your photographic goals. The first paid bonus is out now: “24 Photography Festivals Across the World with Open Calls!” (Free subscribers are able to preview the guide.)
Please read this note about newsletter pricing:
I make The Open Call List available for free in the spirit of maximizing accessibility in the photo world. That said, I am a one-person team and a fellow artist. If you find the list helpful and you have the means, I ask that you opt in to a pay-what-you-can subscription. To support the newsletter and access paid benefits, use the links below to access the sliding scale prices:

At any amount, paid subscriptions support the time and energy I spend finding, vetting, and sharing open calls every week. Thank you!
