Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #34!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
This week’s Open Call List contains 22 open calls, 11 of which offer free entry. Compiled in this week’s list are multiple photobook prizes, two free-to-enter photo residencies, several low-cost and free opportunities for publication and exhibition, a photo festival tote bag design contest, a portfolio review scholarship, as well as a wide array of photo fellowships, awards, and grants ranging between $500 and $10,000. In addition to typical employment opportunities in the photo arts industry, this week’s jobs section also has several photography professorships at higher education institutions.
Please read this note about newsletter pricing:
I make The Open Call List available for free in the spirit of maximizing accessibility in the photo world. That said, I am a one-person team and a fellow artist. If you find the list helpful and you have the means, I ask that you opt in to a pay-what-you-can subscription. Paid subscribers receive access to ad-free monthly bonus guides.
