Welcome to The Open Call List #55!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
Last month, The Open Call List published an editor’s pick for paid subscribers highlighting one of the best free open call opportunities to exhibit, sell, and have work acquired by an institution. There are just under two weeks left to submit. Read about it here.
This week’s Open Call List contains 19 calls for entry, nine of which offer free submission. The list contains several fully-funded photo residencies, multiple photo awards with large cash prizes, a book publishing award, calls for exhibitions proposals, print publications, as well as multiple opportunities for exhibition (in-person, online, and outdoors). The “Jobs” section also contains several new paid internships and jobs in the photo arts industry.
