Hi,

Welcome to The Open Call List #61!

In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.

Opening Remarks:
Last week, The Open Call List published a directory of galleries and museums that accept submissions from photographers for exhibition, representation, and acquisition. This is the first article and series of new and expanded benefits for paying subscribers!

This week, The Open Call List contains 25 opportunities, 13 of which offer free submission. The list contains many opportunities for exhibition, including at several major photo institutions across the U.S. and Europe. The list also includes calls for scholarship and writing about photography, several significant grants and awards to fund photographic projects, calls for participation and exhibition in photography festivals, opportunities for publication in print magazines, calls for photography books and book projects, as well as calls for genre-specific photo work, such as abstract, nude, black-and-white, and analog photography.

The Jobs section contains several new positions at photography non-profits and institutions, as well internships, jobs in higher ed, and other employment opportunities related to photography.
