Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #69!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening Remarks:
Last week, The Open Call List published a long-form interview with photography curator Emmy Mickevicius. The interview focuses on important aspects of career development in art photography, including how to connect with curators, how to prepare for portfolio reviews, how to build relationships with museums, and what curators like Emmy are looking for when considering photographic work for exhibition and acquisition.
Soon, I will also publish a text transcript of the interview for subscribers who prefer to read rather than listen. Like the audio version, paid subscribers will receive the transcript in full.

The list also contains a wide range of exhibition opportunities, including calls for analog, historical, and alternative processes, small prints, unrestricted calls, solo exhibitions, and more, as well as exhibitions that include monetary and acquisition awards. Finally, the list contains various opportunities for publication, photobook exhibition, research grants, and a photographic commission.
