Hi,

Welcome to The Open Call List #80!

In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.

Opening Remarks:
This week, I added one new institution to the directory of galleries and museums that accept submissions from photographers for exhibition, representation, and acquisition. There are now 52 institutions in the directory. (New additions are indicated in the listings.)

A reminder that I also recently reformatted the list of bonus material available to paid subscribers, since more material is coming soon. (Free subscribers can see previews all paid bonus material.)

This week’s Open Call List below contains 23 calls for entry, 11 of which offer free submission. The list includes three fully-funded residencies; fellowships and scholarships ranging up to $50,000; and a wide range of additional photography awards, prizes, and grants. Further, the list contains nine opportunities for exhibition, including calls for portraiture, alternative processes, solo exhibition proposals, group exhibitions, exhibitions at major institutions and photography festivals, and more. Finally, the list contains six opportunities for publication, including multiple that involve cash awards.

The Jobs section contains new jobs and internships in the photo arts industry, including new roles in the U.K., Germany, and across the U.S., as well as several hybrid positions.
