Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #12!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibitions, publications, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to emerging artists. While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists.
Opening remarks:
As is often the case in the second part of the middle half of the month, this week is somewhat light with deadlines. However, the final days of May and the first days of June have a lot of free and artist-friendly open call deadlines. I’ve included many of them in the “Upcoming Calls” section for those wanting to prepare for the turn of the month rush.
Learn more about how I curate and vet the list, or see an archive of prior lists, here.
Please read this note about newsletter pricing:
I make The Open Call List available for free in the spirit of maximizing accessibility in the photo world. That said, I am a one-person team and a fellow artist. If you find the list helpful and you have the means, I ask that you opt in to a pay-what-you-can subscription. Use the links below to access the sliding scale prices:

At any amount, paid subscriptions support the time and energy I spend finding, vetting, and sharing open calls every week. Thank you!
