Hi,
Welcome to The Open Call List #8!
In this weekly newsletter, I share opportunities for photographers for exhibition, publication, fellowships, grants, residencies, jobs, and more. My goal is to make the photography world more accessible, especially to young and emerging artists.
While I include both free opportunities and calls for entry with submission fees, I only share opportunities that favor artists. Each week, I deliver those that offer the most exposure, monetary value, and career support, as well as job opportunities in the arts industry and/or related to photography.
Learn more about how I curate and vet the list, or see an archive of posts, here.
An important note on newsletter pricing: I’m happy to share that as I am able to offer newsletter subscriptions on a sliding scale!
I make The Open Call List available for free in the spirit of maximizing accessibility in the photo world. That said, I am a one-person team and a fellow artist. If you find the list helpful and you have the means, I ask that you opt-in to a paid subscription. Use the links below to access the sliding scale prices:
Subscribe for…
$1/month (or $10/year)
$2/month (or $20/year)
$3/month (or $30/year)
$4/month (or $40/year)
$5/month (or $50/year)
At any amount, paid subscriptions support the time and energy I spend finding, vetting, and sharing open calls every week. Thank you!

Thank you for reading and using The Open Call List.
Sharing this newsletter with friends, photographers, students, and others in the photo/fine art industry both supports the newsletter and helps drive its mission of making opportunities for photographers more accessible and visible.
As summer approaches, consider sharing this list in particular with photo and visual arts students. In addition to the included summer internships and job opportunities, open calls can help drive student photographers’ artistic practices over the coming summer break.
Warmly,
-Aidan Avery
